December 4, 2010 - Children's Hunger Fund - Toys Wrap Event

Children's Hunger Fund will host the annual Toy Wrap volunteer event. Since 1991, CHF has given hundreds of thousands of toys to needy children across America and around the world. When you give a child a toy, you are also giving away hope and love this holiday season.

November 13, 2010 - Scouting for Food

Once again the Scouts will hit the streets in support of Scouting for Food. The mission of the project is to have Scouts participate in the collection of food items to be given to needy people and families within the local communities.  This is the largest food drive in America.

    October 10, 2010 - National Faith in Action

    Don't go to the church, be the church

    Join us on October 10 at 9:00 a.m. for Community Outreach
    We have something for you to do!

    We have several projects lined up for Sunday morning clean-up!  Help us improve the look of our community.

    We also have several projects on our campus for those unable to work outside:
    • Putting together care packages for our military personnel
    • Putting together survival kits for the homeless 
    • Writing notes of thanks to our military men and women

    Schedule on 10/10/2010
    • 9:00 a.m. - Gather at the church building for work assignments/groups
    • 9:30 a.m. - Pick up supplies and head out to area work locations
    • 12:00 p.m. - Gather back at the church location for lunch and informal worship/sharing 
    • 2:00 p.m. - Return home

    December 2, 2010 - Flag ceremony at district roundtable

    Location:  LDS Church, 17101 Plummer St., Northridge, CA 91325
    Time:  7:00 pm (please be there by 6:30)

    Pack 118 will have the honor of presenting the colors at the monthly roundtable meeting.

    Roundtable is a meeting held every month where the leaders from all over our district get together to share information.

    The opening of the meeting is with a flag ceremony. It is only 5 minutes and the boys will receive a special patch for participation. We hope to have as many of our boys as possible to show the strength and commitment of our pack.

    Dress in class A uniform.

    Meet at the beach side of the tunnel. Pack your lunch, sun screen, beach toys...

    Car pooling if you could.  Parking is pricey.  Free if you can find a spot along PCH.

    The gorgeous, sandy beach at Leo Carrillo State Beach has tidepools, a cave, trails, picnic areas, and a playground to make it a favorite family beach. Showers, lifeguard, restrooms, and a small visitors' center are available as well.

    The JetHawks will be giving away a special, recycled content t-shirt to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. All Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts have the opportunity to spend the night at the ballpark! Watch a movie on the video board, enjoy snacks and have a great time!

    July 4, 2010 - Cabrillo Beach

    Fourth of July Spectacular at Cabrillo Beach

    Meet at 2 pm.  Pack your dinner. Bring water, towels, sunscreen, beach toys...  We will spend a day at the beach and watch the fireworks that begins at 9 pm.

    For the 59th year, Cabrillo Beach will host a free 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks show.

    • 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Tours of Coast Guard Cutters at Berth 46
    • 10:30 a.m - Ringing of the Historic Korean Bell at Angels Gate Park
    • 8:00 p.m. - Golden State Pops Orchestra Concert

    June 18-20, 2010 - Cachuma Lake Camping

    We still have space available.

    The cost is $11.00 per person.  Free parking for the first 15 cars. Additional cars will be charged $20/night and will have to park at overflow parking. We encourage carpooling.

    Bring fishing poles, bikes, and hiking boots...

    No swimming at the lake, but the swimming pool is opened daily for $2/hour/person.

    Many fun filled activities available for individual family and/or den arrangements...

    Rank Graduation

    This is a very important meeting for everyone.  This is the meeting when everyone will graduate to the next rank (Tigers to Wolves, Wolves to Bears, etc.).  This is also the meeting where we will induct all new Tigers!  Please wear your Class A Uniform for your existing rank.

    Den and Pack Pictures

    We will be taking Den and Pack pictures so that everyone has a picture with the boys in the uniform before they move on to the next rank.  Please be there at 6:30 sharp in full class A uniform.  We will move very quickly from Den to Den.  We will take a maximum of two photos per den then a couple of Pack photos.  If you are late, you will miss out.  We will not retake any pictures.  Sorry. No exceptions.
