Boys who have not earned their badge still graduate to the next rank. This is also the meeting where we will induct all new Tigers! Please wear your Class A Uniform for your existing rank.

Den and Pack pictures: We will be taking Den and Pack pictures so that everyone has a picture with the boys in the uniform before they move on to the next rank. Please be there at 6:30 sharp in full class A uniform. We will move very quickly from Den to Den starting with the Tigers. We will take a maximum of two photos per den, then a couple of Pack photos. If you are late, you will miss out. We will not retake any pictures. Sorry. No exceptions.

Pack 118 will have the honor of presenting the colors at the monthly roundtable meeting.

Roundtable is a meeting held every month where the leaders from all over our district get together to share information.

The opening of the meeting is with a flag ceremony. It is only 5 minutes and the boys will receive a special patch for participation. We hope to have as many of our boys as possible to show the strength and commitment of our pack.

Den leaders: please organize your den and send in registration list to Jeff or Laura by April 11. The cost is $15 per scout. The pack will cover half of the registration cost ($7.50).

Team requirements:

The boys must be of same rank
Minimum size 3 scouts
Maximum size 8 scouts (larger teams need to split up)

Events might include archery, BB gun, obstacle course, soccer skills, navigation, water relay and other fun challenging events. Each team must be accompanied by a registered leader and adult volunteer for each four (4) scouts.

Friday evening and Saturday lunch on your own, or organize by den. Pack community breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and community Saturday dinner. Food assignment will be sent out one week prior to camping. Pack will provide main dish for Saturday dinner and breakfast.

Rules:

The heat format will be double-elimination, so every scout races at least twice.
Cars are to be built by the scouts. Parents may assist in the use of power or sharp tools.
Cars may weigh up to 5 oz. as determined by the official scale.
All cars are to be built from kits supplied by the Pack.
Accessories may be added as long as they do not change the overall width of the cars wheelbase or clearance from the bottom of the car to the track.
Once a car has been weighed-in, it may not be re-lubricated or modified, except to reattach parts that may have fallen off during the heat.

We are looking for volunteers to set up tracks, weigh in, number the cars, call the winners, and run the starting gate. Volunteers should be at the church at 9 am.

Parents and siblings are also encouraged to participate in the Derby, but you must purchase your own car kit at the Scout shop. Please let us know if you are interested.

LA Opera has been honored to work with the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles to present free, large-scale, community performances of Noye's Fludde under the baton of Maestro James Conlon. These opera performances include singers, actors and orchestra members from the community, performing alongside professional singers and orchestra members from LA Opera.

Dress warm for the occasion. Dress in layers. Bring hats that cover your ears, boots, gloves, ski masks, and thick socks. Don't forget sunscreen, since sun also reflects off the surface of the snow, making the rays even more intense.

Meet at the OLEHUT store (a little store on Mt. Baldy Rd.) at 11 am.

Meet at LA Zoo entrance at 5:30 pm. Wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly to walk the full one-mile route each way.

25th annual Granada Hills Holiday Parade
"Favorite Holidays Movies"

Pack 118 is marching. Details of line up time and car pooling will follow.

The parade begins at 1:30 pm at Chatsworth Street and Petit Park Avenue, proceeding west on Chatsworth Street.

The Granada Hills Holiday Parade is the largest holiday youth celebration in the San Fernando Valley, featuring celebrities, marching bands, equestrian units, youth groups, drill teams and decorated floats.
